HOW TO LIVE LONG AND PROSPER!

I have long said that we should make contact with friends and colleagues, volunteer and help others when we can. Interestingly, some studies of more than 1,500 children, who were about 10 years old when it was first done in 1921, confirm this. This study provides a comprehensive overview of how to live and grow.

The results are published in the book, "Amazing Findings for Health and Longevity of Eight Earth Sign Earth Survey" The project followed the children's data collection, including family and communication backgrounds, teacher and parent reviews, hobbies, pet ownership , career success, academic standards, military service and more. Surprisingly, one of the results was that people who were very happy and had a good sense of humor had a shorter average life expectancy than those who were unhappy. They were very careful and determined people who led a long, healthy life. According to the study, happiness is not one of the major causes of health. Instead, happiness and health go hand in hand because they have a common root. The most striking finding is that child behavior and social interactions may predict death risk decades later. Most results are not what one expects. for example:

• Marriage is good for a man's health, but it's not good for a woman.
• Divorce hurts men, but it does not hurt women.
• "Do not work hard, do not worry" is not good advice for good health and longevity.
• Early schooling is a prelude to premature death.
• It is very important for children to have enough time to play and to make friends at school.
• Playing with pets is not about longevity. Pets can improve safety, but they are not a substitute for friends.
• Veterans are less likely to live longer, but surprisingly, the psychological stress of war is not a major health risk in itself.
• People who feel loved and cared for report better security, but it does not help them to live longer.
• The most obvious health benefits of social networking come from sharing and helping others.

The groups you join often decide what kind of person you are. This study shows that we can only change and be happy and healthy by taking small steps that will improve our lives. We must persevere, discipline and work hard. We need to make contact with our friends and co-workers and as much as we can voluntarily.
